ปัจจุบันเราได้อยู่ในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์โทรศัพท์มือถือเป็นสิ่งสำคัญมากและเทคโนโลยีเป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นในการดำเนินชีวิตเช่นกัน โดยเฉพาะโทรศัพท์มือถือที่สามารถเคลื่อนที่ได้ สามารถพกพาได้สะดวกและมีน้ำหนักเบา ติดต่อสื่อสารกับใครก็ได้เพียงแค่ปลายนิ้วสัมผัส ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการติดต่อผ่านการโทรซึ่งมีทั้งการโทรแบบเสียงธรรมดาและแบบที่สามารถสื่อสารโดยเห็นอีกฝ่ายได้ การส่งข้อความทั้งแบบเอสเอ็มเอส ข้อความเสียงหรือการส่งข้อความผ่านทางโซเชี่ยลเน็ตเวิร์คต่างๆ สามารถเข้าสื่อออนไลน์ได้ตลอดเวลา และสมาร์ทโฟนยังสามารถทำได้อีกหลายๆอย่าง เช่น นาฬิกาปลุก ตารางนัดหมาย เกม การใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ต บลูทูธ กล้องถ่ายภาพ วิทยุ เครื่องเล่นเพลง และ จีพีเอสทำให้ปัจจุบันเราสามารถดำเนินชีวิตได้สะดวกมากขึ้น ผู้คนส่วนมากจึงนิยมใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือที่เป็นสมาร์ทโฟนกันมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ
กลุ่มของพวกเราจึงได้จัดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้นมาเพื่อศึกษาค้นคว้าเกี่ยวกับโทรศัพท์มือถือและได้ทำการสอบถามนักเรียนโรงเรียนชลกันยานุกูลจำนวน 100 คนเกี่ยวกับเรื่องโทรศัพท์มือถือ โดยวัตถุประสงค์ของการศึกษาค้นคว้าครั้งนี้คือ (1) เพื่อสำรวจว่าจำนวนนักเรียนโรงเรียนชลกันยานุกูลมีคนที่ใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือหรือไม่ใช้จำนวนเท่าใด (2) นักเรียนใช้โทรศัพท์ยี่ห้อใดบ้าง (3) นักเรียนใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือเล่นแอปพลิเคชั่นใดบ้าง(4)นักเรียนใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือวันละกี่ชั่วโมง (5)นักเรียนใช้แพ็คเกจโทรศัพท์มือถือใดบ้าง โดยมีวิธีการดำเนินงาน ดังนี้

ผลการศีกษาพบว่า โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วนักเรียนโรงเรียนชลกันยานุกูลมีโทรศัพท์มือถือเกือบทุกคน โดยนิยมใช้ยี่ห้อ Apple มากที่สุด ส่วนใหญ่ใช้เล่นแอพลิเคชั่นไลน์ ใช้วันละมากกว่า 5 ชั่วโมง และนิยมใช้แพ็กเกจรายเดือนมากกว่าแบบเติมเงิน
