โครงงานเรื่อง ข้าวกล้องนิ่มได้ด้วยน้ำปูนใส จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจของการแช่ข้าวด้วยน้ำเปล่า และน้ำปูนใสก่อนนำมาหุง
ในการทดลองนี้ คณะผู้จัดทำได้ใช้วัตถุดิบดังต่อไปนี้ 1. ปูนแดง 2. น้ำ 3. ข้าวกล้อง โดยได้แบ่งขั้นตอนการดำเนินงานเป็น 3 ขั้นตอนใหญ่ๆ คือ 1. ขั้นตอนการทำน้ำปูนใส 2. ขั้นตอนการแช่ข้าวก่อนหุง 3. ขั้นตอนการสำรวจความพึงพอใจ
มีการบันทึกข้อมูลออกเป็นแบบสำรวจความพึงพอใจ และการทำการสำรวจความพึงพอใจของการแช่ข้าวก่อนหุง เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจในการแช่ข้าวด้วยน้ำเปล่าก่อนหุงและการแช่ข้าวก่อนหุงด้วยน้ำปูนใสเป็นเวลา 15 และ 30 นาที พบว่ามีความพึงพอใจในข้าวที่แช่ด้วยน้ำปูนใสก่อนหุง มากกว่าข้าวที่แช่ด้วยน้ำเปล่าก่อนหุง
จากการบันทึกผลการสำรวจความพึงพอใจ จึงเป็นข้อสรุปได้ว่าการแช่ข้าวด้วยน้ำปูนใสจะนุ่มมากกว่าข้าวที่แช่ด้วยน้ำเปล่า
