ทั้งนี้การดำเนินการต่างๆนั้นส่งผลให้ ในปี ค.ศ.2012 ทาง UI Green Metric จัดอันดับให้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล อยู่อันดับที่ 36 ของโลก อันดับที่ 11 ของเอเซีย และอันดับที่ 1 ของประเทศไทย ซึ่งหมายถึงการที่ชาวมหิดลได้ร่วมแรงร่วมใจทำเรื่องอนุรักษ์พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อมกันมานั้น ทำให้มหาวิทยาลัยได้แสดงศักยภาพสู่สายตาชาวโลกได้อย่างภาคภูมิ และร่วมพัฒนาให้ดียิ่งขึ้นไปในปีต่อๆไปอย่างยั่งยืน

สืบเนื่องจากทางมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล มีโนบายตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2551 ในการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยสีเขียว ทำให้มีการดำเนินการด้านพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆมากมาย อาทิ ด้านการปรับปรุงพื้นที่สีเขียว การลดการใช้พลังงาน และการให้ความรู้ด้านพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นต้น โดยการดำเนินการต่างๆนี้ได้รับความร่วมมือจากทุกหน่วยงานให้มหาวิทยาลัย รวมถึงคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลด้วย
