วัตถุประสงคของงานวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงคเพื่อ
1. เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะทางด้านการฟังของกลุ่มวัยเรียนนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 2 คณะศิลปะศาสตร์ สาขา ภาษาอังกฤษ ให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น
2. เพื่อศึกษาทักษะทางด้านการฟังโดยเปรียบเทียบการใช้สื่อมีเดียทั้งภาพยนตร์และเพลง ว่า สื่อตัวไหนที่ช่วยให้นิสิตเข้าใจและได้รับความรู้มากกว่ากัน
3. เพื่อทำให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายลด อคติต่อการฟังภาษาอังกฤษ ว่าการฟังภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้น่ากลัวอย่างที่คิด
4. ทำให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายมีความมั่นใจในการฟังภาษาอังกฤษมากยิ่งขึ้น
