สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดการวิจัยของ Tosapon Kritayapisit (1995 : 10) เสนอว่าชุมชนควรแสดงถึงความต้องการร่วมกันที่จะเปลี่ยนแปลงให้เป็นไปตามวัตถุประสงค์ของตน และควรแสดงการตัดสินใจกระทำการเพื่อให้บรรลุวัตถุประสงค์นั้น ๆ ควรมีความร่วมมือและรับผิดชอบในกิจกรรมการพัฒนาที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคม โดยในขั้นตอนต่าง ๆ ของการดำเนินกิจกรรมนั้น ๆ มีกลุ่มหรือองค์กรชุมชนรองรับประชาชนที่เข้าร่วมมีการพัฒนา ภูมิปัญญา และการรับรู้สามารถคิด วิเคราะห์ และตัดสินใจเพื่อกำหนดการดำเนินชีวิตของตนเองได้ ผลการวิจัยนี้เป็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกับแนวคิดและการศึกษาของนักวิชาการด้านกิจกรรมทางการท่องเที่ยว จำแนกได้ 3 ประเด็น คือ 1) บริบทของชุมชน ประกอบด้วย ความเป็นมาของชุมชน วัฒนธรรมประเพณี 2) ระบบสื่อความหมาย ได้แก่ ป้ายบอกเส้นทาง แผนผัง และ 3) กิจกรรมทางการท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งอาจมีจุดชมวิว บรรยายกาศ หรือกิจกรรมสันทนาการแก่นักท่องเที่ยว เป็นต้น
