ชาวเกาหลีเชื่อว่าไม่ควรสระผมในวันปีใหม่ ถ้าสระผมแล้วความโชคดีก็จะไหลตามน้ำในตอนที่เราสระผมไปด้วย ในทางเดียวกันนักเรียนชาวเกาหลีก็จะไม่สระผมก่อนที่จะสอบ เพราะเป็นการล้างความรู้ของพวกเค้าไปกับน้ำเช่นกัน
