ปรัชญาการศึกษาอัตถิภาวะนิยม
อัตถิภาวนิยม มาจากภาษามคธ อัต = ความเป็นอยู่ + ภาวะ = สภาพความมีอยู่ (Existense) ซึ่งนักปรัชญาไทยแปลว่า ภาววาท หรืออัตตนิยม ซึ่งหมายถึง เรื่องที่กล่าว ความมีอยู่ของตนเอง ของมนุษย์ทั้งสิ้นอัตถิภาวนิยม มาจากภาษามคธ อัต = ความเป็นอยู่ + ภาวะ = สภาพความมีอยู่ (Existense) ซึ่งนักปรัชญาไทยแปลว่า ภาววาท หรืออัตตนิยม ซึ่งหมายถึง เรื่องที่กล่าว ความมีอยู่ของตนเอง ของมนุษย์ทั้งสิ้น และเมื่อเลือกกระทำหรือตัดสินใจแล้วก็ต้องรับผิดชอบในการเลือกกระทำหรือตัดสินใจนั้น ๆ ด้วย ดังนั้นจึงอาจจะกล่าวได้ว่า ปรัชญาการศึกษาอัตถิภาวนิยมนี้ “เป็นแนวทางที่นำไปสู่การหลุดพ้นจากกรอบแห่งวัฒนธรรมของสังคม”
จุดมุ่งหมาย
1.การศึกษาแบบภาวะนิยมมุ่งจะให้ผู้เรียนพัฒนาความเป็นมนุษย์ของตัวเองอย่าเต็มที่ให้รู้จักใช้เสรีภาพในการเลือกและมีความรับผิดชอบต่อการตัดสินใจของตน
2.การศึกษาจะต้องช่วยให้มนุษย์เข้าใจตนเอง เข้าใจโลก และความสำคัญของการมีอยู่ (Existence)
3.การศึกษาจะต้องช่วยให้มนุษย์สามารถเผชิญกับปัญหาต่างๆ ได้อย่างชาญฉลาด และสามารถหาความหมายออกมาจากสิ่งที่ไร้ความหมาย
