ประเพณีบุญสารทเดือนสิบ งานบุญยิ่งใหญ่ของชาวนครศรีธรรมราช

จึงขอเชิญชวนชาวนครศรีธรรมราชและนักท่องเที่ยว เที่ยวชมงานประเพณีเทศกาลบุญสารทเดือนสิบ ฉลองพระบรมธาตุสู่มรดกโลก และงานกาชาด ประจำปี 2556 รวม 10 วัน 10 คืน ระหว่างวันที่ 28 กันยายน – 7 ตุลาคม 2556.



ได้เวียนมาบรรจบครบรอบอีกหนึ่งปี สำหรับประเพณีบุญสารทเดือนสิบ ถือเป็นงานบุญประเพณีที่สำคัญในภาคใต้ของไทย โดยเฉพาะชาวนครศรีธรรมราช ไม่ว่าลูกหลานหรือญาติพี่น้องของคนในครอบครัวจะไปทำงานอยู่แห่งหนตำบลใดของประเทศไทย มักจะต้องลางานหรือหยุดงานเดินทางกลับบ้านเกิด เพื่อมากราบไหว้พ่อแม่ ปู่ย่า ตายาย และผู้ที่เคารพนับถือเพื่อแสดงออกถึงความกตัญญูรู้คุณ รวมทั้งจะได้ทำบุญให้ผู้ที่ล่วงลับ และอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างพร้อมหน้าพร้อมตาของคนในครอบครัว และมีการพบปะสังสรรค์ฉลองกันด้วย นับว่าเป็นช่วงที่ครอบครัวมีความอบอุ่นที่สุด ซึ่งปีนี้วัน “บุญหลังหรือบุญใหญ่” ตรงกับวันที่ 4 ตุลาคม 2556 เป็นวันแรม 15 ค่ำ เดือน 10 ซึ่งในช่วงก่อนถึงวันทำบุญใหญ่ 2-3 วัน ในตัวเมืองนครศรีธรรมราชจะคึกคักเป็นอย่างมาก เนื่องจากผู้คนจากทุกทั่วสารทิศจะเดินทางเข้ามาท่องเที่ยว กราบไหว้สักการะพระบรมธาตุเจดีย์นครศรีธรรมราช เพื่อความเป็นมงคล รวมทั้งจับจ่ายซื้อของเตรียมทำบุญ โดยเฉพาะขนมพอง ขนมลา ขนมดีซำ ขนมกง ขนมบ้า ขนมเทียน รวมทั้งผลไม้ทุกชนิดจะขายดีมาก ขณะที่พระสงฆ์ สามเณรที่จำพรรษาตามวัด สำนักสงฆ์ต่าง ๆ จะทำการพัฒนา ทำความสะอาดวัด ศาสนสถาน ไว้รอรับญาติโยมที่จะเดินทางไปทำบุญตักบาตรที่วัด
ประเพณีบุญสารทเดือนสิบ มีการสืบทอดกันมายาวนานหลายร้อยปี ซึ่งได้รับอิทธิพลด้านความเชื่อที่มาจากศาสนาพราหมณ์โดยมีการผสมผสานกับความเชื่อทางพระพุทธศาสนา ที่เข้ามาในภายหลัง โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายสำคัญเพื่อเป็นการอุทิศส่วนกุศลให้แก่ดวงวิญญาณของบรรพชนและญาติ ที่ล่วงลับ ซึ่งได้รับการปล่อยตัวมาจากนรกเนื่องจากผลกรรมที่ตนได้เคยทำไว้ตอนที่ยังมีชีวิตอยู่ โดยจะเริ่มปล่อยตัวจากนรกในทุกวันแรม 1 ค่ำเดือน 10 เพื่อมายังโลกมนุษย์ในการมาขอรับส่วนบุญจากลูกหลานญาติพี่น้อง ที่ได้เตรียมการอุทิศไว้ให้เป็นการแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่อผู้ล่วงลับ หรือที่เรียกกันว่า “วันรับตายาย” หรือเป็นวันบุญแรก หลังจากนั้นก็จะกลับไปยังนรก ในวันแรม 15 ค่ำ เดือน 10 “วันส่งตายาย”หรือเป็นวันบุญหลังหรือบุญใหญ่ ซึ่งวันนี้มีการยกหฺมฺรับพร้อมภัตตาหาร(ปิ่นโต)ไปวัด เมื่อหฺมฺรับถึงวัดแล้ว ก็จะร่วมกันตักบาตร ถวายภัตตาหารแก่พระสงฆ์ เสร็จแล้วจะร่วมกัน “ตั้งเปรต” เพื่อแผ่ส่วนบุญส่วนกุศลให้แก่ผู้ที่ล่วงลับไปแล้ว โดยอาหารที่จะตั้งเปรตนั้นจะเป็นขนมเดือนสิบทั้ง 5 หรือ 6 อย่าง รวมถึงอาหารอื่น ๆ และผลไม้ที่บรรพชนชอบ ตั้งเปรตเสร็จแล้ว พระสงฆ์จะสวดบังสุกุล โดยจับสายสิญจน์ที่ผูกไว้กับหลาเปรต เมื่อพิธีสงฆ์เสร็จสิ้น ผู้คนจะร่วมกัน “ชิงเปรต” ทั้งนี้นอกจากเพื่อความสนุกสนานแล้วยังมีความเชื่อว่า หากใครได้กินอาหารบนหลาเปรตจะได้รับกุศลแรง เป็นมงคลแก่ตนเองและครอบครัว หลังเสร็จสิ้นการชิงเปรตแล้วส่วนหนึ่งก็จะรับประทานอาหารเที่ยงร่วมกันที่วัด หรือต่างก็แยกย้ายกันกลับบ้านด้วยใจที่อิ่มบุญ ในช่วงเทศกาลประเพณีบุญสารทเดือนสิบนี้เอง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ได้จัดงานประเพณีเทศกาลบุญสารทเดือนสิบและงานกาชาดขึ้นอย่างยิ่งใหญ่เป็นประจำทุกปี สำหรับปีนี้กำหนดจัดงานระหว่างวันที่ 28 กันยายน - 7 ตุลาคม 2556 มีสถานที่จัดงานหลักที่ สวนสมเด็จพระศรีนครินทร์ 84 ทุ่งท่าลาด ส่วนที่อื่น ๆ ได้แก่ สวนศรีธรรมาโศกราช วัดหน้าพระบรมธาตุและวัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร อ.เมืองนครศรีธรรมราช การจัดงานปีนี้จัดขึ้นเป็นปีที่ 90 แล้ว มีกิจกรรมที่หลากหลายและยิ่งใหญ่กว่าทุกปีที่ผ่านมา เพื่อส่งเสริมและสืบสานเอกลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมประเพณีของจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ให้คงอยู่สืบไป เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น เสริมสร้างความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่อบรรพชนและความรักสามัคคีในหมู่คณะ เพื่อหารายได้สำหรับใช้จ่ายในกิจการสาธารณกุศลต่าง ๆ

โดยวันที่ 3 ตุลาคม ถือเป็นไฮไลน์ของงาน ตั้งแต่เวลา 09.00 น. จัดริ้วขบวนแห่หฺมฺรับและประกวดหฺมฺรับ จากสนามหน้าเมืองนครฯ ไปยังวัดพระมหาธาตุฯ ของหน่วยงานราชการ รัฐวิสาหกิจ สถานศึกษา และภาคเอกชน โดยหฺมฺรับที่ชนะเลิศจะได้รับรางวัลหฺมฺรับทองคำพระราชทานสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯสยามบรมราชกุมารี พร้อมกับเงินรางวัลอีก 250,000 บาท โดยมีรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม(นายสนธยา คุณปลื้ม) เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดแห่หฺมฺรับ ซึ่งการจัดงานปีนี้พิเศษกว่าทุกปีที่ผ่านมา หลังจากที่คณะกรรมการมรดกโลก มีมติรับวัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร จ.นครศรีธรรมราช เข้าสู่บัญชีเบื้องต้น (Tentative List) ตามที่ประเทศไทยเสนอ เพื่อเข้าสู่กระบวนการพิจารณาเป็นมรดกโลกอย่างสมบูรณ์ ใน ปี 2558 ดังนั้นเพื่อให้ชาวนครศรีธรรมราช รวมทั้งคนไทยทุกคนได้มีส่วนร่วมในการสนับสนุนพระบรมธาตุเจดีย์เป็นมรดกโลก จึงได้จัดโครงการทอดผ้าป่าตั้งกองทุนพระบรมธาตุฯ สู่มรดกโลกขึ้น โดยตั้งเป้าให้ทุกคนมีส
