เสรีภาพในการพูด เป็นสิทธิการสื่อสารผ่านความคิดของบุคคลออกมาเป็นคำพูดและการแสดงออก ซึ่งทุกคนในสังคมย่อมมีสิทธิเสรีภาพในการพูด และในการศึกษาควรส่งเสริมเสรีภาพในการพูดเป็นอย่างมาก เพื่อครูผู้สอนและนักเรียนเกิดการพัฒนาศักยภาพร่วมกันและทำให้นักเรียนมีความกล้าแสดงออก
ในปัจจุบันระบบการศึกษาของไทยของแต่ละโรงเรียนมีความแตกต่างกัน และแต่ละโรงเรียนก็มีปัญหาที่แตกต่างกัน ยกตัวอย่างเช่น ปัญหาบางโรงเรียนได้จัดให้นักเรียนเรียนกับครูต่างประเทศ ซึ่งนักเรียนบางคนยังไม่สามารถพูดได้ ทำให้นักเรียนไม่อยากเรียน และไม่กล้าที่จะพูด นักเรียนจึงไม่มีการพัฒนาศักยภาพของตัวเอง อีกปัญหาหนึ่งคือบางโรงเรียนมีครูที่สอนแบบท่องจำในหนังสือเรียนเท่านั้นเพื่อนำไปใช้สอบ แต่ขาดวิธีการเรียนแบบปฏิบัติ หรือการอภิปรายร่วมกันในห้องเรียน นักเรียนจึงไม่กล้าที่จะแสดงออก และปัญหาสุดท้ายก็คือครูดุจนทำให้เด็กไม่กล้าที่จะพูดหรือแสดงความคิดเห็นระหว่างเรียน
