ผู้ศึกษาได้มีการศึกษาตรวจสอบและเก็บข้อมูลใน 2 ส่วนโดยส่วนที่ 1 จะเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการบริโภคหนังสือและหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี โดยการศึกษาข้อมูลและสร้างแบบสอบถามแบ่งเป็น ข้อมูลทั่วไป ข้อมูลการบริโภคหนังสือและหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ส่วนที่ 2 จะเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของธุรกิจโรงพิมพ์ในจังหวัดปทุมธานีโดยการศึกษาข้อมูลและสร้างแบบสอบถามแบ่งเป็น ข้อมูลทั่วไป ประสบการณ์การทำงาน
โรงพิมพ์กับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยี และด้านสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์กับสื่ออินเตอร์เน็ต แล้วนำข้อมูลทั้งสองส่วนนี้มาวิเคราะห์ผล และทำการสรุปผลกระทบของธุรกิจโรงพิมพ์ในสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน
ผลการศึกษาในส่วนที่ 1 พบว่าผู้บริโภคหนังสือและหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ บริโภคข้อมูลและเนื้อหาที่บริโภคหนังสือจะเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเรียน/ตำราเรียน ส่วนหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ จะเกี่ยวกับหนังสือแฟชั่น แรงจูงใจในการบริโภคหนังสือคือ ความสบายตาในการอ่าน ส่วนหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ คือ สามารถดาวน์โหลดข้อมูลเก็บไว้ได้ และอุปสรรคในการบริโภคหนังสือคือความลำบากในการพกพาส่วนหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ คือ ปัญหาเรื่องแบตเตอรี่เวลาอยู่นอกสถานที่
