สุรีพร (2557) ทำการวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง (Quasi-Experiment research) เพื่อศึกษาเกี่ยวกับโปรแกรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพเพื่อป้องกันอาการปวดหลังส่วนล่างในหญิงตั้งครรภ์ โรงพยาบาลเชียงยืน อำเภอเชียงยืน จังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยใช้กรอบแนวคิดการพัฒนาคุณภาพอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยใช้โปรแกรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพกับหญิงตั้งครรภ์ 18 คน โดยการให้ความรู้ท่าทางในชีวิตประจำวันและการออกกำลังกาย ใช้สื่อรูปภาพ และวิดีทัศน์ พบว่าหญิงตั้งครรภ์มากกว่าร้อยละ 80 ความพึงพอใจต่อการได้รับการใช้โปรแกรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพในระดับมากและมากที่สุด ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าโปรแกรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพเพื่อป้องกันอาการปวดหลังส่วนล่างมีความเป็นไปได้ในการปฏิบัติตัว จึงควรนำโปรแกรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพไปใช้ในการดูแลหญิงตั้งครรภ์เพื่อป้องกันอาการปวดหลังส่วนล่างในงานประจำ
