สิ่งที่ควรทำและสิ่งที่ไม่ควรทำในประเทศไทย

สิ่งที่ควรทำ
1. คนไทยทักทายและแสดงความเคารพด้วยการไหว้ พร้อมกล่าวคำว่า "สวัสดดี"
2. คนไทยมักส่งรอยยิ้มให้กันและกันแสดงถึงความเป็นมิตรไมตรีแม้จะไม่เคยรู้จักกันมาก่อน

5. ควรถอดรองเท้าเมื่อเข้าบ้าน หรือศาสนสถาน เช่น อุโบสถ์ วิหาร เป็นต้น
6. เมื่อได้รับเชิญหรือไปเยี่ยมเยียนผู้ใด ควรจะมีของฝากไปมอบให้เพื่อแสดงน้ำใจไมตรี และเจ้าของบ้านควรเตรียมของต้อนรับแขกผู้มาเยือนด้วย
7. คนไทยเรียกกันด้วยชื่อจริง เมื่อสนิทและคุ้นเคยกันจะเรียกชื่อเล่นพร้อมมีคำนำหน้าว่า "คุณ" เพื่อความสุภาพ
8. คนไทยนิยมรับประทานอาหารด้วยช้อนและส้อม
9. คนไทยจะให้ความเคารพนับถือ โดยให้เกียรติกับผู้อาวุโสกว่าและบุคคลสำคัญ
10. เมื่อรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน คนไทยให้เกียรติผู้อาวุโสกว่า รับประทานก่อน

สิ่งที่ไม่ควรทำ
1. ไม่ควรแสดงกิริยาละเมิดหรือดูหมิ่นสถาบันเกี่ยวกับชาติ ศาสนา และพระมหากษัตริย์ไทย
2. คนไทยถือว่าศีรษะเป็นสิ่งสูงสุด ไม่ควรจับหรือส่งสิ่งของข้ามศีรษะซึ่งถือว่าไม่สุภาพ
3. คนไทยถือว่า เท้า เป็นของต่ำ ไม่ควร ใช้เท้าชี้ เขี่ย หรือเดินข้ามบุคคลหรือสิ่งของ เช่น อาหาร หนังสือ เป็นต้น
4. พระพุทธรูปเป็นสิ่งที่คนไทยให้ความเคารพ ไม่ควรกระทำการใดๆ ที่แสดงถึง การลบหลู่ ดูหมิ่น เช่น การปีนป่าย หรือนำไปวางในที่ ที่ไม่เหมาะสม
5. ไม่ควรแต่งกายด้วยชุดสีดำ ในงานพิธีมงคลต่างๆ เช่น งานแต่งงาน เยี่ยมผู้ป่วย วันเกิด เป็นต้น
6. ไม่ควรแสดงความรักด้วยการกอดจูบในที่สาธารณะ หรือเขตศาสนสถาน
7. ไม่ควรแต่งกายไม่สุภาพ เช่น นุ่งสั้น หรือชุดเปิดไหล่ เมื่อเข้าไปในศาสนสถานหรือสถานที่สำคัญ
8. ไม่ควรกระทำการใดๆ ให้ผู้อื่นรู้สักอับอาย เสียหน้าในที่สาธารณะหรือต่อหน้าสาธารณชน
9. ไม่ควรทักทายคนไทย โดยเฉพาะสุภาพสตรี ด้วยการโอบกอด หรือจูบ
10. ไม่ควรพูดคุยหรือเคี้ยวอาหารเสียงดัง
