การพัฒนาการ์ตูนแอนิเมชั่น 3 มิติ เรื่องประเพณีทอดกฐินมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อพัฒนาสื่อการเรียนประเภทภาพยนตร์ การ์ตูนแอนิเมชั่น 3 มิติ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4-6 และบุคคลทั่วไปและเสริมสร้างการเรียนรู้ให้เยาวชนได้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของประเพณีทอดกฐินโดยใช้ตัวละครซึ่งเป็นนักเรียนเข้ามาสื่อ เพราะเยาวชนปัจจุบันนี้ได้หลงลืมประเพณีทอดกฐินซึ่งเป็นประเพณีที่สำคัญของไทยในปัจจุบันเยาวชนหันมาสนใจประเพณีต่างชาติที่เข้ามา เพื่อให้เยาวชนได้รับประโยชน์จากข้อคิดของเรื่องประเพณีทอดกฐิน เรื่องราวของเด็กชายมัธยมคนหนึ่งที่ไม่เคยรู้จักประเพณีเลยและยังติดเกมส์จนทำให้เป็นเด็กก้าวร้าว ไม่ฟังใคร จนเขาได้ค้นพบบางอย่างเกี่ยวกับประเพณีทอดกฐิน เขาจึงปรับปรุงตัวจนเป็นเด็กดี
ผลการนำเสนอโครงการไปทดลองใช้กับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ร.ร __________พบว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายมีระดับความพึงพอใจในภาพรวมในระดับมากที่สุดค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.60 และผลการนำโครงการไปเผยแพร่ในกลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไป พบว่าระดับความพึ่งพอใจอยู่ในระดับดีมาก ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.30
