ข้อสอบวิชาสามัญ 7 วิชา ที่จัดสอบโดย สถาบันทดสอบทางการศึกษาแห่งชาติ(องค์การมหาชน) หรือ สทศ. อยู่แล้ว
และให้มีการจัดสอบเพิ่มอีก 2 วิชา คือ วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ 2 และ วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป เพื่อรองรับนักเรียนสายศิลป์ จากเดิมที่จะเน้นเฉพาะนักเรียนสายวิทยาศาสตร์
