ประชาคมความมั่นคงอาเซียน
มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะทำให้ประเทศในภูมิภาคอยู่อย่างสันติสุข แก้ไขปัญหาภายในภูมิภาคโดยสันติวิธีและยึดมั่นในหลักความมั่นคงรอบด้าน เพื่อให้บรรลุเป้าหมายดังนี้
(1) ใช้เอกสารทางการเมืองและกลไกของอาเซียนที่มีอยู่แล้วในการเพิ่มศักยภาพในการแก้ไขปัญหา
(2) ริเริ่มกลไกใหม่ๆ ในการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคง และกำหนดรูปแบบใหม่
(3) ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงทางทะเล และความร่วมมือทางทหารของประเทศสมาชิกกับประเทศนอกภูมิภาค
