วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ

1. อนุรักษ์สภาพป่าและระบบนิเวศของป่าต้นน้ำลำธารและทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างยั่งยืนโดยชุมชนเพื่อชุมชน
2. ฟื้นฟูสภาพป่าที่ถูกทำลายจนเสื่อมโทรมให้คืนสภาพป่าที่สมบูรณ์ดังเดิม โดยมีทั้งป่าไม้ธรรมชาติ ป่าไม้เศรษฐกิจ ป่าไม้ใช้สอย และให้ราษฎรร่วมดูแลใช้ประโยชน์จากป่าไม้อย่างเหมาะสม
3. แก้ไขปัญหาการใช้สารเคมีในการทำการเกษตรบนพื้นที่สูง ได้แก่ การใช้สารเคมีปราบวัชพืช สารเคมีฆ่าโรคและแมลงศัตรูพืช และปุ๋ยเคมี
4. ให้ป่าเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมและผลิตอาหารให้แก่ชุมชน ทำให้ชุมชนอยู่อย่างมีความสุข โดยไม่ต้องทำลายป่า แต่ช่วยดูแลรักษาป่า
5. พัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตราษฎรให้ดีขึ้น มีอาชีพและที่ทำกินเป็นหลักแหล่ง สามารถอยู่อาศัยกับทรัพยากรป่าไม้ได้อย่างสมดุล
