งานแห่เทียนอุบลฯ ปีนี้ มีกิจกรรมที่น่าสนใจ คือ จะมีการจัดทำต้นเทียนประเภทแกะสลักและติดพิมพ์ยาวที่สุดในโลก โดยจะมีความยาวประมาณ 35-40 เมตร จะตั้งโชว์อยู่บิรเวณหน้าอาคารโรงเรียนเบ็ญจะมะมหาราช ศาลากลางหลังเก่า ในวันที่ 19-20 กรกฎาคม 2559
