1. การเคลื่อนย้ายอย่างเสรีของทุน ทั้งที่เป็นตัวเงินและปัจจัยการผลิตอื่นๆ ในด้านหนึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ แต่อีกด้านหนึ่งอาจเป็นช่องทางในการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ลักษณะต่างๆ เช่น การเก็งกำไรค่าเงิน ซึ่งเป็นภัยต่อความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจ หากแต่ละประเทศไม่มีการตรวจสอบและมาตรการควบคุมที่ดี
2. การเคลื่อนย้ายอย่างเสรีของสินค้า และบริการ ในด้านหนึ่งจะเป็นโอกาสให้ผู้บริโภคสามารถเลือกซื้อหาของดีราคาถูกจากทุกมุมโลกที่วางขายในประเทศตน แต่อีกด้านหนึ่งถ้าปล่อยให้สินค้าและบริการจากต่างประเทศไหลเข้าประเทศตนโดยไม่มีข้อจากัดอาจมีผลต่อความอยู่รอดของธุรกิจในท้องถิ่น
