กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2557 โรงเรียนบ้านหนองพรานปาน ตำบลเทพาลัย อำเภอคง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษานครราชสีมา เขต 6 จำนวน 1 ห้องเรียน ซึ่งมีนักเรียนทั้งหมด 13 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการเลือกแบบเจาะจง (Purposive sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง และเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง ประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้รูปแบบ SSCS ร่วมกับเทคนิค Bar Model เรื่อง บทประยุกต์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จำนวน 10 แผน ใช้เวลาจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ แผนละ 1 ชั่วโมง รวมเวลา 10 ชั่วโมง ส่วนเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย แบบวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ และแบบประเมิน ความพึงพอใจในการเรียน เรื่อง บทประยุกต์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โดยใช้รูปแบบ SSCS ร่วมกับเทคนิค Bar Model วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที (t-test for dependent sample และ t-test for one sample)
