จากการทดลองสรุปได้ว่า สมุนไพร 3 ชนิดนี้ สามารถดับกลิ่นได้ดีพอสมควร ซึ่งผิวของมะกรูดสามารถดับกลิ่นได้ดีสุด ส่วนใบเตยนั้นสามารถดับกลิ่นตู้เย็นที่มีกลิ่นอาหารได้ดีที่สุด และตะไคร้ดับกลิ่นได้เล็กน้อย
