การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาแบบผสมผสานมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมและแนวทางการมีส่วนร่วมในการดำเนินการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ตำบลปางหมู อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน ทำการศึกษากลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้านในตำบลปางหมู จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน จำนวน 153 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ดำเนินการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลระหว่าง กุมภาพันธ์ – มีนาคม 2558 นำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์ด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูป แจกแจงข้อมูลด้วยค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และตัวแทนอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุขทำการสนทนากลุ่ม (Focus Group Discussion) จำนวน 20 คน
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ส่วนใหญ่มีความรู้ในการดำเนินการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกในระดับสูง โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต เท่ากับ 0.96 อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ส่วนใหญ่มีเจตคติในการดำเนินการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต เท่ากับ 2.86 อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ส่วนใหญ่มีการปฏิบัติในการดำเนินการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกในระดับสูง โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิตเท่ากับ 2.48 และอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ส่วนใหญ่มีส่วนร่วมในการดำเนินการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกอยู่ในระดับ ปานกลาง โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิตเท่ากับ 2.20
จากการสนทนากลุ่ม พบว่า การดำเนินงานป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออกในกลุ่มอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ตำบลปางหมูส่วนใหญ่มีการตัดสินใจวางแผนการดำเนินงานร่วมกันกับชุมชน และ เจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุข ในพื้นที่ ในการดำเนินงานเน้นให้ทุกภาคส่วน ทั้งในภาคประชาชน ภาครัฐ และองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการดำเนินงานป้องกันและควบคุมโรคไข้เลือดออก โดยเน้นบูรณาการในการทำงาน
