การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพลังสุขภาพจิตในผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะเบาหวานและ/หรือความดันโลหิตสูง และปัจจัยคัดสรรที่ส่งผลต่อพลังสุขภาพจิตในผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะเบาหวานและ/หรือความดันโลหิตสูง กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ ผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ 60 ปี บริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป ทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิงที่ป่วยด้วยภาวะเบาหวาน และ/หรือโรคความดันโลหิตสูง ไม่เป็นผู้พิการหรือทุพพลภาพ และไม่เป็นผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดเตียง การรับรู้ปกติ สื่อสารภาษาไทยได้เข้าใจ และยินดีให้ความร่วมมือในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ในตำบลหนองมะนาว อำเภอคง จังหวัดนครราชสีมาจำนวน 135 ราย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์ ประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วน ส่วนที่1 เป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล ส่วนที่2 เป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์พลังสุขภาพจิต วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา และสถิติเพียร์สัน ไควสแควร์
