กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่นำมาใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนสะบ้าย้อยวิทยา อำเภอสะบ้าย้อย จังหวัดสงขลา ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2556 คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยวิเคราะห์ค่าเฉลี่ยจากคะแนนวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ในระดับมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2556 แล้วเลือกนักเรียนจำนวน 2 ห้องเรียน ที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากัน จากนั้นแบ่งนักเรียนเป็นสองกลุ่ม กลุ่มแรกเป็นกลุ่มทดลองจัดการเรียนรู้โดยบทเรียนคอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอน กลุ่มที่สองเป็นกลุ่มควบคุมจัดการเรียนรู้โดยวิธีปกติ จากนั้นนำข้อมูลมาทำการวิเคราะห์โดยการทดสอบค่าที (t-test) ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้ง 2 เป็นอิสระกัน
