ประวัตินายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ เลิศสุริย์

ประวัติ
นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ เลิศสุริย์เดช หรือที่รู้จักกันในชื่อเล่นว่า "หมอมิ้ง" เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2497 เป็นบุตรของนายจำรัส กับ นางวิเชียร เลิศสุริย์เดช ในสมัยเป็นนักเรียน นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ เคยทำงานในตำแหน่งประธานนักเรียนโรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย เมื่อจบชั้น ม.ศ. 5 สอบได้เป็นอันดับที่ 6 ของโรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย และเป็นอันดับที่ 30 ของประเทศ
ในปี พ.ศ. 2515 ขณะที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ที่โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ได้รับเลือกให้เป็นประธานนักเรียน
หลังเหตุการณ์ 14 ตุลาคม 2516 เขาสอบได้คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ต่อมาได้รับเลือกให้เป็นประธานนักศึกษา คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพปี 2 เมื่อปี 2518 ได้รับความไว้วางใจให้เป็นเลขาธิการพรรคแนวร่วมมหิดล (ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 2517 โดยมีประธานพรรคคนแรกคือ นายแพทย์เหวง โตจิราการ) ในช่วงที่นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ดำรงตำแหน่งเลขาธิการพรรคนั้น เป็นช่วงที่พรรคแนวร่วมมหิดล มีการขยายตัวสูงสูด นอกจากนี้เขายังดำรงตำแหน่งเลขาธิการแกนม่วง-เหลือง อีกด้วย
ในสมัยนั้นนายแพทย์พรหมินทร์เคยเล่าผ่านหนังสือ "ปูมประวัติศาสตร์มหิดลฯ" ว่าได้นำเอาสรรนิพนธ์ของเหมา เจ๋อ ตุง ว่าด้วยเรื่องการสร้างพรรคมาศึกษาและปรับใช้กับการสร้างพรรคแนวร่วมมหิดล
ในช่วงหลังเหตุการณ์ 6 ตุลาคม 2519 นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ได้เข้าร่วมกับพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย โดยใช้ชื่อจัดตั้งว่า สหายจรัส
ภายหลังจบการศึกษาและทำงานราชการ ต่อมาพรรคพวกเครือข่ายคนเดือนตุลาที่ไปช่วยงาน พ.ต.ท.ดร.ทักษิณ ชินวัตร แนะนำให้ดึงตัวนายแพทย์พรหมินทร์เข้ามาช่วยงานด้านกลยุทธ์ และได้เข้าร่วมทำงานกับกลุ่มบริษัทชินวัตร จนตำแหน่งสุดท้ายคือซีอีโอ ของบริษัทชินแซทเทิลไลท์ คอมมิวนิเคชั่นส์
นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์และบริษัทแมทช์บอกซ์อยู่เบื้องหลังแคมเปญการรณรงค์ทางการเมืองให้กับ พ.ต.ท.ดร.ทักษิณ ชินวัตร ที่เป็นภาพโปสเตอร์พ.ต.ท.ดร.ทักษิณ ยืนชี้นิ้วมองไกลไปข้างหน้าพร้อมกับคำขวัญ "พลิกเมืองไทยให้แข่งกับโลก" ที่ได้รับว่าพึงพอใจจากคนชั้นกลางเป็นจำนวนมาก

ชีวิตส่วนตัว สมรสกับ แพทย์หญิงมัธยา เลิศสุริย์เดช มีบุตร 2 คน คือ นายมติ เลิศสุริย์เดช และ น.ส.มาพร เลิศสุริย์เดช
นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ได้ถูกตัดสิทธิทางการเมืองเป็นเวลา 5 ปี เนื่องจากเป็นกรรมการบริหารพรรคไทยรักไทยซึ่งถูกยุบในคดียุบพรรคการเมือง พ.ศ. 2549
