ประเพณีถวายพระเพลิงพระบรมศพพระพุทธเจ้า ( วันอัฐมี ) จัดขึ้นในวันแรม ๘ ค่ำ เดือน ๖ คือประมาณเดือนพฤษภาคม ณ วัดพระบรมธาตุทุ่งยั้ง อำเภอลับแล ในงานมีการจำลองพิธีถวายพระเพลิงพระบรมศพพระพุทธเจ้า การน้อมจิตรำลึกถึงองค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ตลอดจนพระธรรมคำสั่งสอนของพระองค์ มีการตกแต่งวัดอย่างสวยงาม พร้อมปฏิบัติธรรมและเทศนาธรรม
