อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์กำแพงเพชร
เมืองกำแพงเพชรตั้งอยู่บนฝั่งตะวันออกของแม่น้ำปิงและเป็นบริเวณที่ตั้งของตัวจังหวัดกำแพงเพชรปัจจุบัน ลักษณะเมืองมีรูปแบบคล้ายกับสี่เหลี่ยมคางหมูวางยาวขนานไปกับแม่น้ำ ความยาวของกำแพงเมืองด้านเหนือประมาณ 2,400 เมตร ด้านใต้ประมาณ 2,160 เมตร ความกว้างด้านตะวันออกประมาณ 540 เมตร และความกว้างด้านตะวันตกประมาณ 220 เมตร กำแพงเมืองก่อด้วยศิลาแลงทำเป็นชั้นเชิงเทิน ตอนบนสุดก่อเป็นรูปใบเสมา มีประตูเมืองโดยรอบรวม 10 ประตู กำแพงเมืองยังมีป้อมปราการที่มั่นคงแข็งแรงทั้งที่บริเวณมุมเมืองทั้ง 4 มุมและในแนวกำแพงเมือง รวมทั้งยังมีป้อมรูปสี่เหลี่ยมตั้งอยู่ด้านหน้าประตูเมืองด้วย ถัดจากกำแพงเมืองศิลาแลงเป็นคูเมืองกว้างประมาณ 30 เมตร จากการที่เมืองกำแพงเพชรตั้งอยู่บนฝั่งแม่น้ำปิง จึงพบหลักฐานเกี่ยวกับการทดน้ำจากแม่น้ำปิง เพื่อนำน้ำเข้าสู่คูเมืองบริเวณมุมหัวเมือง และเมื่อน้ำล้นคูเมืองเกินความจำเป็นแล้วก็จะระบายออกที่ด้านมุมท้ายเมืองลงสู่ลำคลองธรรมชาติ
