ทำการสำรวจและเก็บตัวอย่างน้ำเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2558 ช่วงฤดูหนาว เก็บตัวอย่างน้ำ1ครั้งโดยทำการสุ่มเก็บตัวอย่าง 1 สถานี ได้แก่ สถานีต้นน้ำ โดยสถานีต้นน้ำประกอบไปด้วย 2 สถานที่ เก็บสถานที่ละ 2 จุด จุดละ 2 ซ้ำ จะได้ 8 ตัวอย่างจากพื้นที่ที่แตกกันของสถานีต้นน้ำ ซึ่งจะได้ตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 8 ตัวอย่าง โดยในแต่ละจุดจะเก็บแพลงก์ตอนโดยใช้วิธีตักน้ำด้วยถังที่ทราบปริมาตร แล้วกรองผ่านถุงลากแพลงก์ตอน จำนวน 20 ลิตร
