In this study, the results are related to other researchers. In Nattaya’s research, the most used figurative language found was Anaphora that is about 33%. In the research of Parichat, we found out the same that least frequently used figurative language was Symbol about 3%.
In this study, the 9 songs of the Beatles were analyzed and categorized into 9 types of figurative language. Many kinds of figurative language are the decoration of each song and they can communicate with the listeners in different ways.
The frequency of usage of figurative language in the Beatles song lyrics are shown in the following table:
