จินดา ยัญทิพย์ (๒๕๒๘ : ๒๒) ได้กล่าวถึงปรัชญากับการศึกษาเอาไว้ว่า ปรัชญากับการศึกษาเป็นเรื่องที่มีความสัมพันธ์กันมาก ปรัชญามุ่งศึกษาเรื่องของชีวิตและจักรวาล โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเรื่องของมนุษย์กับสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อจะหาความจริงอันเป็นที่สุด ส่วนการศึกษานั้นมุ่งศึกษาเกี่ยวกับมนุษย์และวิธีการที่พัฒนามนุษย์ให้มีความเจริญงอกงาม เพื่อให้สามารถดำเนินชีวิตได้อย่างดีมีความสุขและประสบความสำเร็จในชีวิตการงาน ทั้งปรัชญาและการศึกษามีจุดสนใจร่วมกันอยู่อย่างหนึ่งก็คือ การกำหนดคุณค่าและความหมายของชีวิตมนุษย์ การศึกษานั้นเป็นการนำเอาปรัชญาไปปฏิบัติให้บังเกิดผล จึงกล่าวได้ว่า ในการจัดการศึกษานั้นย่อมต้องอาศัยปรัชญาในการหาคำตอบในการศึกษาหรือนำปรัชญามาช่วยพิจารณากำหนดเป้าหมายของการศึกษา เพราะการศึกษาเป็นกิจกรรมทางสังคมที่มุ่งผลการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางพฤติกรรมของบุคคลให้เป็นไปในแนวที่พึงปรารถนา ปัญหาจึงเกิดขึ้นว่า อะไรคือเป้าหมายของการเปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรม เป็นต้น ดังนั้นจึงนำเอาปรัชญามาช่วยในการวิพากษ์และวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาของปัญหาการศึกษาได้ และปรัชญายังให้ภาพรวมทางการศึกษาที่กลมกลืน คือ ปรัชญาพยายามวาดภาพโดยเชื่อมโยงความรู้ที่ได้จากศาสตร์ต่างๆ มาประมวลเข้าเป็นระบบอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน เพื่อให้ศาสตร์ทั้งหลายกลมกลืนกันและมีความหมายต่อมนุษย์ สามารถสรุปได้ว่าปรัชญาการศึกษาเป็นการนำเอาหลักการและแนวคิดจากปรัชญาแม่บทมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการจัดการศึกษา โดยพิจารณาให้สอดคล้องกับองค์ประกอบต่างๆ เพื่อให้การจัดการศึกษาได้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด บรรลุผลตามเป้าหมายที่กำหนดไว้ เมื่อเป็นเช่นนี้ปรัชญาจึงมีความสัมพันธ์กับการศึกษา
