การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจแบบภาคตัดขวางมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดอาการผิดปกติของระบบทางเดินหายใจของแรงงานทำไม้กวาดดอกหญ้า ตำบลโคกกรวด อำเภอปากพลี จังหวัดนครนายก กลุ่มประชากร จำนวน 98 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ทดสอบสมมุติฐานโดยใช้ Chi square และอุปกรณ์เก็บและวิเคราะห์ตัวอย่างอากาศ
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า แรงงานทำไม้กวาดดอกหญ้าส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงจำนวน 80 คน ร้อยละ 81.60 อายุเฉลี่ย 58.18 (S.D.10.99) ปี จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา จำนวน 73 คน ร้อยละ 74.49 โดยมีประวัติการเจ็บป่วยเป็นโรคหวัด จำนวน 30 คน ร้อยละ 30.61 มีประวัติการใช้ยาระงับการไอ จำนวน 61 คน ร้อยละ 62.24 โดยแรงงานมีการทำไม้กวาดมาแล้ว 21-30 ปี จำนวน 37 คน ร้อยละ37.75 จากการวิเคราะห์สภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน พบว่า อยู่ในระดับต่ำจำนวน 48 คน ร้อยละ 49.00 และผลจากการตรวจวัดปริมาณฝุ่นผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐาน OSHA ส่วนแรงงานมีการรับรู้อันตรายจากการสัมผัสฝุ่นดอกหญ้าในระดับต่ำ จำนวน 52 คน ร้อยละ 53.10 และจากการศึกษาปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล พบว่า อายุ (X2=7.876, p-value=0.049 ) โรคหวัด (X2= 3.707, p-value= 0.046 ) การใช้ยาลดการคั่งของน้ำมูกในจมูก(X2=9.784 ,p-value=0.003) ในด้านปัจจัยการทำงาน พบว่า ระยะเวลาในการทำงานในหนึ่งสัปดาห์ (X2=6.970, p-value=0.031) และปัจจัยด้านพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอันตราย( X2 =7.117, p -value = 0.029 ) มีความสัมพันธ์กับอาการผิดปกติของระบบทางเดินหายใจ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ดังนั้น ควรมีการจัดกิจกรรมประชาสัมพันธ์เสียงตามสาย ส่งเสริมให้ความรู้ข้อมูลข่าวสาร เรื่องอันตรายจากการรับสัมผัสฝุ่นดอกหญ้าแก่กลุ่มแรงงานทำไม้กวาดดอกหญ้า
