หม่อมหลวงบุญเหลือ เทพยสุวรรณ (13 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2454 - 7 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2524) เดิมชื่อ หม่อมหลวงบุญเหลือ กุญชร เป็นนักเขียน และนักวิชาการภาษาไทย เป็นธิดาลำดับที่ 32 ของเจ้าพระยาเทเวศรวงศ์วิวัฒน์ (ม.ร.ว. หลาน กุญชร) กับหม่อมนวล เกิดที่บ้านย่านคลองเตย ถนนสุนทรโกษา ซึ่งเป็นบ้านพักนอกเมืองของบิดา เป็นน้องสาวร่วมบิดากับหม่อมหลวงบุปผา นิมมานเหมินท์ นักเขียนชาวไทย ที่มีนามปากกาว่า ดอกไม้สด จบชั้นประถมศึกษาจากโรงเรียนเซนต์โยเซฟคอนแวนต์ และไปศึกษาต่อชั้นมัธยมที่ ปีนัง และประเทศอังกฤษ จากนั้นมาศึกษาต่อที่ คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จบการศึกษาเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2479 แล้วเข้ารับราชการสอนหนังสือที่ โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษา และเป็นอาจารย์สอนพิเศษภาษาอังกฤษที่คณะอักษรศาสตร์ และสอนภาษาไทยที่โรงเรียนมาแตร์เดอี จากนั้นไปศึกษาต่อปริญญาโทด้านการศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยมินนิโซตา สหรัฐอเมริกา และกลับมารับราชการ จนลาออกจากราชการในปี พ.ศ. 2513 ขณะดำรงตำแหน่งคณบดี คณะอักษรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตทับแก้ว และยังเคยดำรงตำแหน่งเป็นรองอธิการวิทยาลัยวิชาการศึกษา วิทยาเขตบางแสน (ซึ่งปัจจุบันนี้เป็น มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา) ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2502-พ.ศ. 2503
