การศึกษาค้นคว้าอิสระฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการวิจัย (1)เพื่อศึกษาระดับความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) ที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่แตกต่างกัน และ (3) เพื่อให้ได้ข้อมูลมาประกอบการวางแผนเพื่อพัฒนาการปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) ประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ พนักงานที่ปฏิบัติงานในบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) จำนวน 186 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน และสถิติอ้างอิงใช้การทดสอบค่าที (T-test) และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนจำแนกทางเดียว (One-Way ANOVA) โดยการเปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยรายคู่ด้วยวิธี LSD
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง อายุมากกว่า 35-50 ปี ระดับการศึกษาต่ำกว่าปริญญาตรี ทำงานในตำแหน่งงานระดับปฏิบัติการ และมีเงินเดือนอยู่ระหว่าง 10,000 - 20,000 บาท โดยมีความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) ในภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับมาก โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานสูงสุดในด้านกฎระเบียบและวิธีการปฏิบัติงาน รองลงมา คือ ด้านความรู้และความเข้าใจในงาน และมีค่าเฉลี่ยความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานต่ำสุดในด้านค่าตอบแทนและสวัสดิการอื่นๆ ในส่วนของผลการทดสอบสมมติฐาน พบว่า พนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) ที่มีระดับการศึกษาตำแหน่ง และเงินเดือนที่แตกต่างกันมีความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ขณะที่พนักงานบริษัท 3 เอ็มประเทศไทย จำกัด (โรงงานลาดหลุมแก้ว) ที่มีเพศ อายุ และอายุงานที่แตกต่างกันมีความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานไม่ต่างกัน
