ที่มาและความสำคัญ
อาหารไทยเป็นอาหารที่รู้จักกันดีทั่วโลก เนื่องจากมีรสชาติที่จัดจ้านโดยเฉพาะอาหารจำพวกแกงกะทิ อีกทั้งยังมีคุณประโยชน์มากมายพร้อมทั้งสรรพคุณทางยาจากสมุนไพรต่างๆในเครื่องแกง และเป็นที่รู้จักอาหารไทยมากขึ้นจากการประกวดระดับโลกที่ประเทศไทยชนะอันดับหนึ่งจากการประกวดโดย “แกงมัสมั่น” ของไทยที่มีคุณประโยชน์ครบถ้วนทางสารอาหารทั้ง 5 หมู่ และประโยชน์จากสมุนไพรในเครื่องแกงต่างๆ

ปัจจุบันอาหารไทยถูกนำมาแปรรูปเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์สำเร็จรูปและการทำอาหารต่างๆ เพราะเนื่องจากอาหารไทยมีวิธีการทำที่ค่อนข้างยากตั้งแต่การเตรียมวัตถุดิบและวิธีการทำ วิธีการทำอาหารไทยแบบเดิมๆเลยหายไป เพื่อเป็นการเผยแพร่ถึงวิธีการทำอาหารไทยแบบดั้งเดิม จึงได้จัดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้นเพื่อให้ข้อมูลต่างๆเกี่ยวกับวิธีการทำอาหารไทยแบบดั้งเดิม
