The study is intended to study the composition of the dust particles in the atmosphere by chemical characteristics of air dust samples from EMC station (Environmental Monitoring center) in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Indonesia to aim services, education concentration and chemical composition of the dust from the air, PMcoase, PMNN2D5, and PM10 and carbon black (Carbon Black.: BC) sampling in October – December 2556 (2013) using the technique and characterization of Filter Stack GENT composition and concentration of the elements by X-Ray Fluorescence technique for black carbon (BC) measured with a Smoke Stain Reflectometer, which uses reflection of light and proceed to analyze the composition and concentration of the elements with a ED-XRF Epsilo.N 5 uses particles caused by the X – ray (PIXE) Al, Si, S, K, Ca, Ti, Cr, Fe, Mn, Na, Ni, Zn, and Pb. Results showed that the highest concentrations of PM10 and PM 2.5 µg/34.34 m ³ ³ µg/m and 14.60 respectively. Average of PM 2.5 and PM 10 µg/m was 14.60 34.34 ³ ³ µg/m, respectively. The average concentration of BC between 1.56-3.62 m ³/µg and found that heavy metals with the highest concentrations are lead (Pb) concentrations, which is equal to 0.67 µg/m ³.
