โครงงานฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาระบบการจัดการร้านอาหารเนื่องจากครอบครัวมีธุรกิจร้านอาหาร “ร้านครัวคุ้มเงิน” ตั้งอยู่เลขที่ 26 หมู่ 2 ตำบลขันเงิน อำเภอหลังสวน จังหวัดชุมพร ประกอบกับเทคโนโลยีในปัจจุบันมีบทบาทในชีวิตประจำวันมากขึ้น จึงเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญของการปรับปรุงการให้บริการและการนำเทคโนโลยีมาประยุกต์ใช้กับธุรกิจร้านอาหารของครอบครัว เพราะการดำเนินงานของร้าน ณ ปัจจุบันยังเป็นระบบจดบันทึกข้อมูลเป็นกระดาษด้วยบุคลากร ทำให้เกิดข้อผิดพลาดของข้อมูลได้ง่าย จึงพัฒนาการดำเนินงานจากระบบบุคลากรเก็บข้อมูลเป็นกระดาษจดบันทึก เปลี่ยนเป็นเก็บข้อมูลด้วยเทคโนโลยีคอมพิวเตอร์โดยระบบการจัดการร้านอาหาร สามารถจัดการข้อมูลพนักงาน ข้อมูลการขาย ข้อมูลการจัดซื้อวัตถุดิบ และการออกรายงานแก่เจ้าของร้าน เพื่อสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจในการวางแผนการบริหารร้านอาหารให้เกิดผลกำไรรวมถึงการอำนวยความสะดวกต่อผู้ใช้บริการอีกด้วย ดังนั้น ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อนำเทคโนโลยีเข้ามาประยุกต์ใช้งานในการบริหารจัดการร้านอาหารของครอบครัว เพื่อ ให้ระบบการบริหารมีประสิทธิภาพ สะดวก รวดเร็ว ลดข้อผิดพลาดในการทำงาน ออกรายงานให้แก่เจ้าของร้านเพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารร้านอาหารนี้ต่อไป
