บทคัดย่อ
วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการวิจัย๑) เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาในคัมภีร์ทางพระพุทธศาสนา ๒) เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของพระธรรมจาริก ๓) เพื่อนำเสนอรูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของพระธรรมจาริกในสองทศวรรษหน้า
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า รูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาในสมัยพุทธกาลมีการเข้าหาผู้นำทางสังคม การปฏิวัติคำสอนเดิมด้วยการเปลี่ยนเนื้อหาสาระใหม่ การนำเสนอคำสอนใหม่ที่มีความหลากหลายมากกว่า มีความเหมาะสมครอบคลุมทุกเพศทุกวัย ทุกสาขา อาชีพ การเยี่ยมเยียนตามบ้าน การบริการชุมชน การใช้ปาฏิหาริย์ การอาศัยบุคลิกลักษณะ การสอนและใช้ลีลาในการสอน ส่วนรูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาในตะวันตกพบว่ามี การใช้สื่อและเทคโนโลยีสมัยได้แก่ วิทยุโทรทัศน์ เครือข่ายออนไลน์ การปฏิบัติธรรม การสอนในมหาวิทยาลัย สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์และผ่านงานวัด ด้านการเผยแผ่ในโลกตะวันออกและไทยพบว่า มีลักษณะเหมือนโลกตะวันตก คือการใช้คลื่นวิทยุ โทรทัศน์ เครือข่ายออนไลน์ การปฏิบัติธรรม การเรียการสอนในมหาวิทยาลัย สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ จะแตกต่างเฉพาะการเรียนการสอนซึ่งในโลกตะวันออกโดยเฉพาะไทย มีการเรียนการสอนวิชาพระพุทธศาสนาตั้งแต่ระดับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานถึงระดับมหาวิทยาลัย
รูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของพระธรรมจาริกที่ผ่านมาพบว่า มีรูปแบบ 5 กลุ่มคือ กลุ่มที่ ๑ รูปแบบการใช้สื่อได้แก่ สถานวิทยุชุมชน โทรทัศน์ เวปไซต์ เฟสบุค สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ กลุ่มที่ ๒ คือ รูปแบบการอบรม ประชุม สัมมนา ได้แก่ การเข้าค่ายนักเรียน เยาวชนการบรรพชาสามเณรภาคฤดูร้อน การชุมนุมยุวพุทธ กลุ่มที่ ๓ รูปแบบการสอน ได้แก่ การสอนในระดับมัธยมศึกษา ปวช.อุดมศึกษา นักธรรมบาลี และจริยธรรมในโรงเรียน กลุ่มที่ ๔ รูปแบบชุมชนสัมพันธ์ ได้แก่ ทำบุญสัญจร ทำวัตรสวดสัญจร พระธรรจาริกสัญจร กลุ่มที่ ๕ รูปแบบอื่นๆ ได้แก่ การบรรพชา-อุปสมบทหมู่ชาวเขาประจำปี งานแสดงตนเป็นพุทธมามกะและทัศนศึกษา
รูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของพระธรรมจาริกในสองทศวรรษหน้า พบว่า มีองค์ประกอบ ๓ อย่าง คือ ๑ การบริหารองค์การ ต้องมีการจัดแผนยุทธศาสตร์จำแนกตามพื้นที่กลุ่มชาติพันธ์ การจัดองค์การ ควรเพิ่มสำนักงานระดับจังหวัด เพิ่มงบประมาณ บุคคลากร วัสดุอุปกรณ์ลงในพื้นที่ให้มากขึ้น การบังคับบัญชา มีการแบ่งสายกาบังคับบัญชาอย่างชัดเจน มีการระบบการควบคุมงบประมาณ บุคคลากร และงาน มีการติดตามตรวจสอบ ประเมินผลโครงการอย่างสม่ำเสมอ มีการประสานงานทั้งภายในองค์การและนอกองค์การ ๒ พระธรรมจาริกในฐานะผูส่งสาร ซึ่งเป็นฝ่ายปฏิบัติงาน ระดับหัวหน้าฝ่าย หัวหน้าศูนย์อบรมศีลธรรมและส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาบนพื้นที่สูงมีศักยภาพสูงในการสื่อสารและเป็นหัวใจในการขับเคลื่อนงานในภาคสนาม ถึงอย่างไรในอนาคตต้องมีการพัฒนาศักยภาพพระธรรมจาริกส่วนใหญ่ให้มีทักษะการการจัดการความรู้ ทักษะการจัดกิจกรรม มีวิธีการที่หลากหลาย การใช้เครื่องมือสื่อสารสมัยใหม่การสร้างภาคีเครือข่ายและมีจริยวัตรที่งดงาม เพื่อที่จะทำให้งานบรรลุเป้าหมาย ๓ รูปแบบการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาต้องมีการผสมผสานระหว่างรูปแบบเก่าที่เคยปฏิบัติมาและรูปแบบใหม่มาผสมกลมกลืนกันให้เหมาะสมกับผู้รับ ดังคำกล่าวที่ว่า “เก่าถ้าดีก็เอาไว้ ใหม่ถ้าเหมาะสมก็นำมาใช้” รูปแบบหรือกิจกรรมแบบเก่าที่ใช้แล้วได้ผลดี เช่น ค่ายคุณธรรม บรรพชาสามเณรภาคฤดูร้อน ทำบุญสัญจร ทำวัตรสวดมนต์เย็น พระธรรมจาริกสัญจร สอนจริยธรรมในโรงเรียน การจัดการศึกษา รูปแบบใหม่ เช่น การปฏิบัติธรรม จัดตั้งสถานีวิทยุชุมชน เฟสบุคและยูทูป
