รายงานการปฏิบัติสหกิจศึกษาฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษางานเขียนแบบสามมิติเพื่อใช้ในโครงการก่อสร้างถังเก็บน้ำขนาด 8,000 ลูกบาศก์เมตร และระบบสูบจ่ายภายในนิคมอุตสาหกรรมลาดกระบังด้วยการนำแบบสามมิติมาใช้ในโครงการก่อสร้าง โดยการรวบรวมรายละเอียดจากแบบสองมิติของโครงการและข้อมูลจากสถานที่ดำเนินงานจริงมาทำการสร้างแบบสามมิติจากโปรแกรม SketchUp ภายใต้ขอบเขตของงานเครื่องกล กลุ่มเป้าหมายในการนำแบบสามมิติไปใช้งานคือ ผู้จัดการโครงการ , วิศวกรโครงการ , วิศวกรสนาม , ผู้รับเหมาช่วง , ช่างและผู้เกี่ยวข้องกับงานก่อสร้างของโครงการ รวมทั้งหมด 12 ท่าน ซึ่งมีการแบ่งหัวข้อในการศึกษาและชี้วัดผลออกเป็นสามหัวข้อคือ 1. การชี้วัดผลด้านประสิทธิภาพของแบบสามมิติในการใช้สร้างความเข้าใจในการดำเนินงานของโครงการ 2. การชี้วัดผลด้านประสิทธิภาพของแบบสามมิติในการป้องกันความผิดพลาดของงานและแสดงถึงวิธีแก้ไขปัญหา 3. การชี้วัดผลด้านการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของการบริหารโครงการก่อสร้างด้วยแบบสามมิติ โดยการชี้วัดผลจะกระทำผ่านแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของผู้ใช้งานแบบสามมิติและมีการแปลผลความคิดเห็นนั้นโดยการนำคะแนนเฉลี่ยที่ได้มาจัดเป็น 5 กลุ่มได้แก่ ปรับปรุง , พอใช้ , ปานกลาง , ดี และดีมาก
ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้จากการศึกษาพบว่าการนำแบบสามมิติมาใช้ในการบริหารงานโครงการก่อสร้างนั้นสามารถชี้วัดผลออกมาตามการแบ่งหัวข้อการศึกษาดังนี้ 1. ด้านประสิทธิภาพของแบบสามมิติในการใช้สร้างความเข้าใจในงานอยู่ในระดับดีมาก 2. ด้านประสิทธิภาพของแบบสามมิติในการป้องกันความผิดพลาดของงานและแสดงถึงวิธีแก้ไขปัญหาอยู่ในระดับดีมาก 3. ด้านการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการบริหารโครงการก่อสร้างด้วยแบบสามมิติอยู่ในระดับดี ซึ่งโดยสรุปแล้วนั้นแบบสามมิติสามารถนำมาใช้ในโครงการก่อสร้างในด้านของการใช้สร้างความเข้าใจในได้ดีที่สุด
