งานวิจัยนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการก่อหนี้และโครงสร้างหนี้ รวมถึงศึกษาการปรับเปลี่ยนโครงสร้างเงินทุนของธุรกิจ SMEs ตามทฤษฎีทางเลือก (Trade-off Theory) และทฤษฎีการจัดหาเงินทุนตามลำดับขั้น (Pecking Order Theory)
