ในปัจจุบันภาษาอังกฤษมีความสำคัญในชีวิตประจำวันเป็นอย่างมาก เนื่องจากภาษาอังกฤษเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการติดต่อสื่อสาร การศึกษา การแสวงหาความรู้ การประกอบอาชีพ ซึ่งในประเทศไทยได้ให้ความสำคัญกับภาษาอังกฤษโดยจัดให้มีการเรียนการสอนตั้งแต่ระดับอนุบาลจนถึงมหาวิทยาลัย แต่ในทางกลับกันคนไทยส่วนมากกลับไม่สามารถพูด เขียน ภาษาอังกฤษได้คล่องแคล่วอาจเนื่องมาจากการที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในการสื่อสารทุกวัน และมีการใช้ในบางโอกาสเท่านั้น
ดังนั้นฉันจึงเห็นด้วยว่าการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษในประเทศที่เป็นเจ้าของภาษานั้นดีกว่าการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษในประเทศไทย ด้วยเหตุผล 4 ข้อ ดังนี้
1. การเรียนภาษาอังกฤษในประเทศที่เป็นเจ้าของภาษา จะสามารถช่วยเราในเรื่องของการฝึกทักษะ เพราะเราจะได้ยิน ได้ฟัง ได้พูดทุกวันเพื่อใช้ในการติดต่อสื่อสารกับคนในสังคม โดยเฉพาะในเรื่องของการทักษะการฟังที่ตัวฉันเองยังไม่เก่งมากนัก นอกจากนี้การอยู่ในสังคมที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษทุกวันจะทำให้เราเกิดความเคยชินและและเป็นการกระตุ้นให้เกิดการเรียนรู้มากขึ้น
