3. สมบัติทางชีวภาพ คือ เป็นดิน ที่มีความสมดุล ของจุลินทรีย์ กล่าวคือ เป็นดิน ที่มีจุลินทรีย์ และ สิ่ง ที่มีชีวิตเล็กๆ ในดิน ที่เป็นประโยชน์ ในปริมาณมาก ซึ่งสามารถควบคุมจุลินทรีย์ และ สิ่ง ที่มีชีวิตเล็กๆ ในดิน ที่เป็นโทษ แก่พืชได้เป็น อย่างดี และ จุลินทรีย์ ที่เป็นประโยชน์ ในดิน สามารถสร้างกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ แก่พืชได้ดี เช่น สามารถย่อยแร่ธาตุ ในดิน ที่ยังไม่เป็นประโยชน์ แก่พืช หรือให้ประโยชน์น้อยให้เป็นประโยชน์ แก่พืช และ เพิ่มปริมาณ ที่มากขึ้น ตรึงธาตุอาหารพืชจากอากาศให้เป็นประโยชน์ แก่พืช สร้างสารปฏิชีวนะปราบโรค และ ศัตรูพืช ในดินได้ เสริมสร้างพลังให้ แก่พืช และ ทำลายสารพิษ ในดินได้

ชีวภาพ จำเป็นต้องทำการปรับปรุง และ หาทางแก้ไข เพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์
ในการใช้ เพื่อการเพาะปลูก ต่อไป ต่อไปนี้ขอแนะนำให้ท่านทราบถึงดิน
ที่มีปัญหาชนิดต่างๆ ในประเทศไทย ซึ่งต้องหาทางปรับปรุงให้กลับมาใช้
ประโยชน์ได้ ซึ่งจากการสำรวจ ของกรมพัฒนา ที่ดินพบว่า ทรัพยากรดิน
ของประเทศไทย มีปัญหาด้านกายภาพหรือด้านคุณภาพ ซึ่งจำแนกได้ดัง
ต่อไปนี้

การสำรวจ และ จำแนกชนิดดิน ของกรมพัฒนาที่ดิน ที่ดำเนินการ ในจังหวัด
ต่างๆ ของประเทศไทยพบว่า ดินส่วนใหญ่มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ต่ำ โดยธรรมชาติ

การเพาะปลูกพืช จำเป็นต้องมีการพัฒนาหรือปรับปรุงแก้ไข เพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพ
ในการผลิต ของดินเหล่านั้น ดินที่มีปัญหาพิเศษที่กล่าวนี้ พอแยกออกได้ตาม
