การส่งออกเป็นการสร้างรายได้หลักให้กับทุกๆประเทศ ซึ่งยางพารา อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เครื่องสำอาง และอาหาร เป็นสินค้าส่งออกที่สร้างรายได้ระหว่างประเทศไทยกับประเทศมาเลเซีย การศึกษาครั้งนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อที่จะศึกษาอิทธิพลของอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนต่อการส่งออกเปรียบเทียบระหว่างประเทศไทยกับประเทศมาเลเซีย ซึ่งใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 12 ปี ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2546 -2557 โดยใช้สมการถดถอยเชิงซ้อนในการวิเคราะห์ Multiple Regression วิธี OLS จากการศึกษาพบว่าการส่งออกทั้ง 2 ประเทศ หากนำอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนมาเปรียบเทียบกับสินค้าที่ประเทศมาเลเซียส่งออก สินค้าที่ทำให้ประเทศมาเลเซียได้เปรียบทางการค้าคือ การส่งออกยางพารา อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เครื่องสำอาง และอาหาร ส่วนประเทศไทยหากนำอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนมาเปรียบเทียบกับสินค้าที่ประเทศไทยส่งออก พบว่าประเทศไทยเป็นฝ่ายเสียเปรียบการค้าทุกประเภท
