Hazardous Operations : These operations have systems with high energy potentials or toxic properties requiring that special measures be taken to limit risk to personnel or property. Work involving ordnance materials, missile propellants, high pressures, high
energy RF emissions and toxic substances are examples. Specific actions are required for all hazardous operations involving, as a minimum, activation of a safety control area,
display of amber warning lights, use of an approved procedure or checklist and minimizing the crew to essential personnel. The latter requirements are fulfilled by the
inclusion of special safety procedures in the approved written document for the work involved.
