ยูโด (Judo) เป็นศิลปะการป้องกันตัวประเภทหนึ่งที่ถือกำเนิดจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งมีมาแต่ดึกดำบรรพ์ ปัจจุบันมีผู้นิยมฝึกหัดเล่นกันอย่างแพร่หลายไปทั่วโลก ยูโดเป็นรูปแบบของการป้องกันตัว

เป็นศิลปะส่วนหนึ่งของชาวญี่ปุ่นที่มีการดัดแปลงปรับปรุงแก้ไขให้ทันสมัย นอกจากจะเป็นการฝึกเพื่อป้องกันตัวเองแล้วยังเป็นการบริหารร่างกายเพื่อให้ เกิดความแข็งแรง ฝึกสมาธิให้มั่นคง ผู้ฝึกจะได้รับประโยชน์ทั้งด้านร่างกาย และสมาธิด้านจิตใจอย่างเต็มที่ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการจู่โจมคู่ต่อสู้ หรือการตั้งรับ ยูโดมีชื่อเต็มว่า โคโดกัน ยูโด (Kodokan Judo) เดิมทีเดียวเรียกกันว่า ยูยิตสู (Jiujitsu) ซึ่งเป็นวิชาที่สามารถต่อสู้กับคู่ต่อสู้ที่มีอาวุธด้วยมือเปล่าและเป็นการ ทำลายจุดอ่อนของคู่ต่อสู้
