ระบบการศึกษาฟิลิปปินส์

ระบบการศึกษาของประเทศฟิลิปปินส์เป็นการศึกษาที่รับมรดกมาจากสเปนและสหรัฐอเมริกาที่เคยเป็นเจ้าอาณานิคม การจัดการแบ่งการศึกษาและระบบการศึกษาเป็นแบบสหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งแบ่งการศึกษาออกเป็น 6 ระดับ ประกอบด้วย

1.ระดับอนุบาล เป็นการศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาเด็กเล็กให้มีความพร้อมสำหรับการศึกษาเล่าเรียนในระดับหลักสูตรตั้งแต่ 1 ปี ไปจนถึง 3 ปี
2.ระดับประถมศึกษา เป็นการศึกษาภาคบังคับมีหลักสูตร 6-7 ปี
3.ระดับมัธยมศึกษา มีหลักสูตร 4 ปี
4.ระดับอุดมศึกษา หลักสูตรและสาขาวิชาที่เปิดสอนคล้ายคลึงกับสาขาวิชาที่เปิดสอนในสหรัฐอเมริกาหรือในประเทศไทย ในระดับนี้เป็นระดับที่อนุญาตให้ชาวต่างชาติศึกษาได้ตามระยะเวลาของการศึกษา

-ปริญญาตรี 4 ปี ได้แก่ สาขาวิชา วิทยาศาสตร์ธรรมชาติ สังคมศาสตร์ ด้านมนุษยศาสตร์ และเภสัชศาสตร์
-ปริญญาตรี 5 ปี มี 2 สาขาวิชา คือ สาขาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และสาขาวิชาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์
-ปริญญาตรี 6 ปี มี 3 สาขาวิชา คือ สาขาวิชาทันตแพทยศาสตร์ สาขาวิชาสัตวแพทยศาสตร์และสาขาวิชาจักษุวิทยา
-ปริญญาตรี 8 ปี เฉพาะสาขาวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ระยะ คือเตรียมแพทยศาสตร์ (Medicine) มีหลักสูตรการศึกษา 4 ปี ต่อจากมัธยมศึกษา

5.ปริญญาโท มีหลักสูตรประมาณ 2 ปี ต่อจากหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาวิชาต่างๆ ลักษณะของหลักสูตรมี 3 ประเภท คือ ทำวิทยานิพนธ์ (With thesis) ไม่ทำวิทยานิพนธ์ (Non-thesis) และการวิจัย (Research)
6.ปริญญาเอก มีระยะเวลาการศึกษาประมาณ 3 ปี ต่อจากปริญญาโท มีสาขาวิชาต่างๆ มากมายที่เปิดสอน
