ตำบลไทรย้อย เดิมอยู่ในเขตการปกครองของตำบลบ้านมุง อำเภอเนินมะปราง จังหวัดพิษณุโลก ต่อมาได้แยกเป็นตำบลไทรย้อย ปัจจุบันตำบลไทรย้อยมีทั้งหมด 16 หมู่บ้าน อยู่ในเขตอำเภอเนินมะปราง จังหวัดพิษณุโลก โดยมีนายสะอาด เดชประพฤติ เป็นกำนันคนปัจจุบัน
