วัดไทรใหญ่ :วัดแห่งนี้เป็นวัดเก่าแก่ของ อ.ไทรน้อย ซึ่งเดิมมีชื่อว่า วัดมหานิโครธาราม คำว่า “มหา” หมายถึง ใหญ่ ส่วน “นิโครธ” หมายถึง ต้นไทร มาในภายหลังก็เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น “วัดไทรใหญ่” เพื่อให้เรียกได้ง่ายขึ้นเหมือนในปัจจุบัน
