ประวัติโรงเรียนพระปฐมวิทยาลัย
โรงเรียนพระปฐมวิทยาลัย เมื่อเริ่มก่อตั้งมีชื่อว่า โรงเรียนตัวอย่างมณฑลนครชัยศรี "พระปฐมวิทยาลัย" เปิดสอนเมื่อวันที่ 23 มกราคม พ.ศ.2452 มีนักเรียนตั้งแต่ชั้น ป.1 ถึง ป.4

พ.ศ.2462 ได้เปิดสอนแผนกฝึกหัดครู ต่อมาได้ยุบ เลิก หรือแยกไปที่ใดไม่ปรากฏหลักฐาน และทางโรงเรียนได้ขยายชั้นเรียนให้สูงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ จนถึงชั้น ม.6

พ.ศ.2464 มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงชื่อโรงเรียนเป็นโรงเรียนประจำมณฑลนครชัยศรี "พระปฐมวิทยาลัย"

พ.ศ.2475 ทางราชการสั่งยุบมณฑลนครชัยศรี โรงเรียนจำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยนชื่อเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับการยุบมณฑลฯ ชื่อว่าโรงเรียนประจำจังหวัดนครปฐม "พระปฐมวิทยาลัย"

พ.ศ.2479 ได้รับโอนอาคารสถานที่จากโรงเรียนนายร้อยตำรวจ ตำบลห้วยจรเข้ ซึ่งมีเขตติดต่อกับโรงเรียนพระปฐมวิทยาลัย ทางโรงเรียนได้แยกนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย (ม.4-ม.6) ไปเรียนอาคารที่ได้รับโอน

พ.ศ.2487 ได้โอนอาคารสถานที่ของโรงเรียนพระปฐมวิทยาลัย แต่เดิมให้เป็นโรงเรียนฝึกหัดครู (ชาย) นครปฐม และให้นักเรียนทั้งหมดเรียนรวมกันที่อาคารเรียนที่ได้รับโอนมาจากโรงเรียนนายร้อยตำรวจ

พ.ศ.2494 กระทรวงศึกษาธิการสั่งเปลี่ยนแปลงชื่อโรงเรียนต่างๆ ทั่วประเทศโรงเรียนจึงต้องเปลี่ยนชื่ออีกครั้งชื่อว่า โรงเรียนนครปฐม "พระปฐมวิทยาลัย"

พ.ศ.2495 อาคารที่ได้รับโอนมาจากโรงเรียนนายร้อยตำรวจชำรุดทรุดโทรมมาก ประกอบกับทางโรงเรียนได้รับงบประมาณสำหรับสร้างอาคารเรียนหลังใหม่ในพื้นที่เดิมซึ่งเป็นอาคารไม้สองชั้น 12 ห้องเรียน
