โครงการอ่างเก็บน้ําคลองท่างิ้ว หมู่ที่ 1 บ้านท่างิ้ว ตําบลท่างิ้ว อําเภอห้วยยอด จังหวัดตรัง
ราษฎรตําบลท่างิ้ว ตําบลหนองช้างแล่น และตําบลห้วยนาง ได้มีหนังสือของพระราชทานสร้างอ่างเก็บน้ำและระบบส่งน้ำ เมื่อวันที่ 25 กันยายน 2532 ต่อมาสํานักราชเลขาธิการได้มีหนังสือที่ รล 0005/3231 ลงวันที่ 2 มีนาคม 2533 แจ้งกรม ฯ ว่าได้นําความกราบบังคมทูลพระกรุณาทราบฝ่าละอองธุลีพระบาทแล้วโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม ให้รับโครงการอ่างเก็บน้ำคลองท่างิ้วไว้เป็นโครงการอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดําริ

ที่ตั้งของโครงการ :

หัวเขื่อนคลองท่างิ้ว ตั้งอยู่บนคลองท่างิ้ว ในเขตตําบลคลองท่างิ้ว อําเภอห้วยยอด จังหวัดตรัง

ระยะเวลาก่อสร้าง 7 ปี (2537 – 2543) ขนาดความจุ 18.50 ล้านลูกบาศก์เมตร


ประโยชน์ของโครงการ :

3. สามารถเพิ่มความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของป่าไม้ต้นไม้ โดยที่ปริมาณน้ำในอ่างเก็บน้ำสามารถยกระดับน้ำใต้ดินบริเวณป่าไม้ต้นน้ำ ให้ความชุ่มชื้นของทรัพยากรป่าไม้ธรรมชาติ
