ประเพณีแห่พระเขี้ยวแก้ว ด้วยชาวพุทธเชื่อกันว่า “พระเขี้ยวแก้ว” (พระทนต์) เป็นฟันของสมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ซึ่งในวันขึ้น ๑ ค่ำ เดือน ๔ ชาวอำเภอพระพุทธบาทจะอัญเชิญพระ เขี้ยวแก้วจากพิพิธภัณฑ์วัดพระพุทธบาทราชวรมหาวิหารออกแห่ฉลองรอบเมือง โดยมีความเชื่อว่า หากมีการแห่พระเขี้ยวแก้วแล้วจะสามารถ บันดาลให้ประชาชนชาวพระพุทธบาทได้รับความร่มเย็นเป็นสุข ทำมาค้าขายเจริญรุ่งเรืองพระเขี้ยวแก้วคือฟันของพระพุทธเจ้าที่เหลือไว้เป็นปูชนียวัตถุ มี ๔ องค์
๑. ประดิษฐานอยู่ที่จุฬามณีเจดีย์ดาวดึงส์เทวโลก
๒. ประดิษฐานอยู่ ณ เมืองกาลึงคราษฎร์ ประเทศอินเดีย
๓. ประดิษฐานอยู่ที่ใต้บาดาลอันมีนามว่า นาคพิภพ
๔. ประดิษฐาน อยู่ประเทศลังกา หรือลังกาทวีป ปัจจุบันได้อัญเชิญมาอยู่ที่พระพุทธบาท สระบุรี ตั้งแต่สมัยพระเจ้าอยู่หัวบรมโกศครองกรุงศรีอยุธยา ประดิษฐานอยู่ในพระวิหารหลวง โดยอยู่ในวิหารคลังบนในเจดีย์จุฬามณี
กาลเวลาล่วงเลยมาจนถึงปี พ.ศ.๒๔๕๕ ที่เมืองพระพุทธบาท ได้เกิดโรคระบาด ประชาราษฎร์ได้เกิดการเจ็บป่วยล้มตายไป เป็นจำนวนมาก พร้อมทั้งเกิด ทุพภิกขภัย อดอยาก ฝนแล้ง แห้งน้ำ ได้รับความเดือดร้อน เป็นที่ยิ่ง ผู้ปกครองในสมัยนั้นจึงอัญเชิญพระเขี้ยวแก้วจากวิหารคลังบนออกแห่ แล้วเชิญประชาชนร่วมขบวนและถวายน้ำสรงพระเขี้ยวแก้ว เกิดในวันนั้นเอง ได้มีฝนตกกระหน่ำมาอย่างหนัก ทำให้ประชาราษฎร์ และพฤกษชาตินานาพันธุ์ได้รับความชุ่มเย็นอันเกิดจากฝนนั่นเอง จึงได้ปฏิบัติเป็นประเพณีไทยเรื่อยมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ด้วยเหตุนี้เองประชาชนชาวพระพุทธบาทจึงได้สืบทอดประเพณีแห่พระเขี้ยวแก้ว เป็นประจำทุกปี ในวันขึ้น ๗ ค่ำ เดือน ๔ เพื่อความร่มเย็นและสงบสุขของชาวพระพุทธบาท
