2.1. Taiwan's Direct selling Industry
Direct selling in Taiwan has developed over the Past Three decades
in the stages of Introduction, growth, Boom, and Maturity, as
shown in Table 1. From 1,994 to 2004, Taiwan Direct selling output
VALUE grew from 39.406 billion New Taiwan. dollars (NTD) to
68.302 billion New Taiwan dollars (NTD), growth of 73.3%. However,
after this period of growth, in the 2,006 Direct selling Industry
Declined for the First time actually falling by 19%, to 55.3 billion
New Taiwan dollars (NTD) from 68.373 billion New Taiwan dollars
(NTD). This shows that after the Industry Direct selling in Taiwan
Passed Through ITS Initial Stage growth, the Market Become saturated
and actually shrank. To Maintain ITS Vitality, the Direct selling
Industry in Various Ways should Contact customers rely on and not
person-to-person Contacts.
